Senior Financial Leadership Role - Chief Financial Officer

NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Consulting CFO to join their Portland team. This full-time role is ideal for a hands-on financial executive who can provide strategic CFO leadership while also stepping into the details when needed. The successful candidate will partner directly with business owners and executive teams across multiple client engagements to improve financial visibility, strengthen cash flow, enhance reporting, and support strategic decision-making.

What You Will Do

As a Consulting CFO, you will lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and financial analysis. You will also support construction clients with job costing, WIP reporting, percentage of completion accounting, project profitability, cost to complete analysis, and margin review.

Requirements

• Senior financial leadership experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Director of Finance, Controller, or similar role
• Extensive construction industry experience required
• Strong experience with job costing, WIP reporting, percentage of completion accounting, project accounting, cash flow management, and project profitability
• Land acquisition and land development experience strongly preferred
• Experience across multiple industries is a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining comfortable with hands-on financial and accounting work
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
• Comfortable advising business owners, executives, lenders, and accounting teams
• Ability to quickly assess client needs and provide practical financial solutions
• Experience working with ERP and accounting systems
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred

Benefits

• Base salary of $170,000 to $185,000
