Job Description
The Senior Financial Manager serves as Chief of the Bureau of Fiscal Planning and Operations, working closely with the Chief Fiscal Officer and Assistant Chief Fiscal Officer. The role involves defining the agency's fiscal goals and objectives, developing the strategic budget plan, and leading analysis that supports it. Key responsibilities include supervising Financial Managers, reviewing and approving budget projections, drafting and reviewing appropriation language, and coordinating with other state agencies for federal and state passthrough funding. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in public finance, budget development and implementation, cost allocation, and overall fiscal management, as well as ability to plan, develop, and carry out large-scale fiscal analyses and projects.
