Role OverviewThe AWS BIOS Engineering team creates and maintains custom firmware solutions for Amazon's innovative server platforms. Our BIOS/UEFI implementations are industry-leading in security, performance, and operational excellence, and are critical to the success of AWS's massive-scale infrastructure that millions of customers rely on daily.
What You Will Do
Design and implement custom UEFI/BIOS features for AWS server platforms, debug complex firmware issues, optimize boot time performance, implement secure boot mechanisms, and develop and maintain Power-On Self Test (POST) code.

Requirements
- 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 6+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 6+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 6+ years of bare-metal firmware OR BIOS/UEFI development experience in C
- 6+ years of bare-metal firmware development experience in C on MCUs, SoCs, or server platforms
