Senior Full Stack Developer (Python, React.js)

The role is for a Senior Full Stack Developer with 7+ years of experience in Python and 5+ years in React.js. The developer will work on cloud-native applications on AWS, using AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon SQS, and Amazon RDS. The team is hybrid, working in the Washington, DC metropolitan area with varying commuting cadence.

What You Will Do

The developer will design and deliver cloud-native Python services on AWS, design the React.js front end, build automated workflows, design APIs, and improve the CI/CD pipelines. The developer will also run code reviews, resolve design tradeoffs, and mentor other developers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional hands-on back-end software development experience in Python
• 5+ years of hands-on front-end software development experience in React.js
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on AWS
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Advanced knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, object-oriented programming, data modeling, and database design
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience leading Agile delivery under Scrum or Kanban
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted developer tools (Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot)
• A track record of leading a development team and mentoring its developers
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel
