Job Description
Hyatt is seeking an enthusiastic Hospitality Designer to join their Lifestyle Group where you will be part of a team of professionals who love what they do. The role involves designing and facilitating hospitality projects for Hyatt's Lifestyle Group Division, including Bunkhouse and JDV Hotels.

Requirements

  • Adhere to all company operational standards, policies, procedures, training materials, and brand guidelines.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with staff, departments, vendors, consultants, properties, and leadership to support company objectives and project success.
  • Collaborate on hospitality interior design projects across all phases, including programming, concept development, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, procurement, installation, and budget/schedule management.
  • Support the Head of Design and Director of Design in daily project and administrative activities.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, travel arrangements, project binders, digital folders, and presentation archives.
  • Create and develop design presentations, mood boards, image research, renderings, and other visual communication materials.
  • Produce and coordinate 2D and 3D design deliverables, including floor plans, elevations, renderings, and presentation graphics.
  • Source, evaluate, select, and specify FF&E, OS&E, finishes, fixtures, materials, hardware, plumbing fixtures, and related products in accordance with project design intent and budget requirements.
  • Maintain and organize the materials library, resource catalogs, digital photo library, and sample inventory.
  • Coordinate and place orders for project supplies, samples, FF&E, and OS&E items, and track procurement activities through installation.
  • Review and assess vendor, supplier, and contractor proposals, bids, and shop drawings; assist with bid requests, de-scoping, and contractor/vendor selection processes.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with property teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and external partners; serve as a liaison between project stakeholders throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of consultants, contractors, external production teams, and rendering/documentation resources as required.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining preliminary construction budgets, FF&E budgets, project invoices, bid packages, and proposals; monitor project expenditures and support budget tracking efforts.
  • Willing and able to travel 15% of the time, including attending site visits, PIP walks, and project installations and openings.
  • Coordinate and complete PIP’s for potential hotel conversions.
  • Attend project meetings, site visits, vendor meetings, and property walkthroughs to support project coordination, documentation, and implementation.
  • Support contractor and vendor sourcing efforts and assist with managing external resources needed for project execution.
  • Ensure all project documentation, communications, and deliverables are accurate, organized, and maintained in accordance with company standards and project requirements.
