Role OverviewThe Senior HR Business Partner & Generalist is the operational backbone of Yaqeen Institute, responsible for running the employee lifecycle end to end, and turning informal practices into clean, documented, repeatable systems. Reporting to the Director of People, this role works directly with managers across every function.
What You Will Do
The Senior HR Business Partner & Generalist will handle HR Business Partnership, full employee lifecycle execution, operations, systems & documentation, compliance & culture, and will be responsible for tasks such as drafting offer letters, resolving employee-relations cases, running onboarding in Rippling, and coaching managers through hard conversations.

Requirements
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience
- At least 2 years in a Generalist or HRBP role at a 100–300 person organization
- Full-lifecycle range: working experience across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance
- HRBP fluency: partnering directly with managers, coaching through hard conversations, and knowing when to escalate
- Strong US employment-law grounding for everyday situations — classifications, leave, accommodation, terminations, documentation
- Hands-on HRIS experience (Rippling preferred; comparable system experience welcome)
- Operating-system fluency: comfortable in Slack, ClickUp, and Confluence, or able to ramp on them quickly
- Process-building instinct: taking informal or scattered HR practices and turning them into documented, repeatable systems
