Role OverviewPraescient Analytics is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer – Senior to support a high-profile federal law enforcement agency's Information Security as a Service (ISaaS) program in Huntsville, AL. This role focuses on integrating security configurations into planned solutions, engineering cloud-based architectures, and closing technical security gaps across enterprise portfolios. The ideal candidate will serve as a principal technical advisor, leading contractor teams to design secure system configurations and executing the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) to achieve timely system authorizations.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include security engineering & system design, advisory & design, controls implementation, system security plans (SSP), and gap remediation.

The ideal candidate will have at least eight (8) years of experience in secure design, analysis, and testing of information security systems, and must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance (Polygraph required post-hire) and one of the following active certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
Requirements
- At least eight (8) years of experience in secure design, analysis, and testing of information security systems
- 8+ years of experience applying federal methods and standards to ensure security safeguards are properly documented
- 8+ years of experience creating and updating security test plans to detect and mitigate risks
- Documented leadership experience supervising teams of IT or security professionals
- Active TS/SCI Clearance (Polygraph required post-hire)
- Certifications (Mandatory): Must possess at least one of the following active certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
