Requirements
Proven experience building enterprise-grade APIs using modern languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go, supported by DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
Strong grounding in domain-driven, specification-first API design, including REST best practices, API standardization, and governance.
Broad API architecture knowledge across REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets, and AsyncAPI.
Hands-on experience with API management platforms (e.g., Kong, Apigee, MuleSoft, Layer7).
Skilled with API design tools such as SwaggerHub and Stoplight.
Cloud and container orchestration expertise (EKS, ECS, or similar).
Deep understanding of API authentication and authorization patterns, especially OAuth2.
Solid grasp of observability practices (metrics, logging, tracing).
Proficiency in automated testing frameworks across unit, regression, contract, performance, and stress testing.
Experience supporting production operations and incident response for high-volume global platforms.
Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-learning mindset.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
