Senior Interaction Designer - Quant & Analytics

As a Senior Interaction Designer, you will help drive forward the early ideation and eventual execution of enhancements to BQuant, a complex Python-based data science platform. You will combine strategic and detailed-oriented user experience design skills with an ability to define and lead user research projects. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to shape the user experience across all product surfaces.

What You Will Do

You will participate in ideation exercises, collaborate with engineers on the execution of design concepts, and combine strategic and detailed-oriented user experience design skills. You will also define and lead user research projects, contextualize your design proposals, and find cross-platform synergies to create value for customers.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong portfolio of design projects, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a curiosity to research existing and emerging best practices in the field of HCI/UX. Familiarity with cloud computing and IDEs is an advantage, but not essential.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Visual Communication, or any design-related field
• 4+ years of experience in user research, designing for complex user workflows, service design, product design, interaction design, UI and visual design, and prototyping
• Familiarity with core concepts and interaction design challenges related to cloud computing and IDEs
• A track record of applying standard User-Centered research and design practices and tools to solve challenging design problems
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Curiosity and aptitude to extensively research existing and emerging best practices in the field of HCI/UX
