Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The candidate will design, develop, and support enterprise applications using Java and related backend technologies. The role requires strong experience in Java-based enterprise applications, object-oriented programming, and relational database experience.

What You Will Do

The Senior Java Developer will work directly with business stakeholders to understand business requirements, develop and maintain backend services, APIs, business logic, integrations, and database components. The role also involves troubleshooting complex application and production issues and driving them through resolution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of software development experience, with strong hands-on experience in Java-based enterprise applications.
  • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience within Banking, Financial Services, Treasury, or Capital Markets technology.
  • Strong experience with object-oriented programming, design principles, and enterprise software-development practices.
  • Strong experience developing backend applications, REST APIs, services, and integrations.
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and clarify requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into technical designs and working solutions.
  • Proven ability to independently own and deliver application features or initiatives from requirements through implementation.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain previous project experience in terms of personal contribution, business functionality, technical implementation, and delivered outcomes.
