Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a team of 7 developers in a leading financial institution in New York. This is a hands-on backend development role supporting highly visible applications across Fixed Income, Trading, Risk and other business areas.
What You Will Do
Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring and Spring Boot. Contribute across the full SDLC, including development, testing, code reviews and production releases. Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with local and offshore teams.

Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer science, Engineering, Finance or Quantitative finance
- 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- 5+ years of Spring / Spring Boot experience
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, concurrency, collections and exception handling
- Experience with REST APIs and distributed applications
- Good SQL knowledge
- Experience with Git, Maven and CI/CD
- Messaging experience such as ActiveMQ, Kafka or similar
