Role OverviewThe Senior Labor Counsel will manage arbitration activity for all Authority unions in consultation with staff, stakeholders, and outside counsel. The incumbent will analyze case law, arbitration decisions, pending labor legislation, and applicable labor statutes, and participate in labor negotiations.
What You Will Do
Reviews cases appealed to arbitration, analyzes case law, and participates in labor negotiations. Coordinates case preparation, researches previous grievance/arbitration history, and presents cases to arbitrators.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate Degree, 10 years of experience in labor relations, and excellent analytical, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school
- 10 years of proven and practical experience in labor relations
- License to practice law in the United States
- Excellent analytical, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
- Ability to deal with complex problems and review related information to evaluate and make recommendations
