Role Overview

The Senior Legal Secretarial Assistant to Division Chief is integral to the daily functioning of the Special Federal Litigation Division, handling significant constitutional and policy-related issues. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to pivot in order to fulfill the changing needs of the Division.

What You Will Do

Duties may include maintaining the calendar of the Division Chief and/or Deputy Division Chiefs, typing and editing confidential complex documents, preparing PowerPoint presentations, and completing correspondence and communications with Executive staff, client agencies, and the judiciary.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate must possess the ability to pivot in order to fulfill the changing needs of the Division, and have the ability to type at a minimum rate of 30 words per minute.

Requirements

  • An associate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 12 semester credits in secretarial science, word processing, office automation and/or office technology
  • Ability to type at a minimum rate of 30 words per minute
  • Ability to take legal dictation for assignments requiring stenographic skills
