Job Description
Patreon is seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering to lead the teams responsible for the core infrastructure and platform services that power Patreon's product and ecosystem. The ideal candidate has experience scaling a consumer, UGC, or marketplace platform to millions of users, leading infrastructure and/or platform teams, and operating in environments with high availability, bursty traffic, and complex distributed systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years in engineering management
  • Experience leading platform, infrastructure, or foundational backend teams
  • Demonstrated experience scaling a consumer product, UGC platform, or marketplace to millions of users
  • Experience designing and operating distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architectures in a production environment
  • Experience operating production systems with high availability and performance requirements
