Role OverviewThis position leads a team that addresses the engagement and administrative needs of distinct IEEE volunteer audiences/customers, roles, and outcomes. Alignment of engagement, business, administration, communication, and information products to IEEE, Technical Activities (TA) and TA Volunteer Engagement goals and strategies is essential. Frequent interaction with senior level staff and volunteers is required.
What You Will Do
Manage the strategic scope, compliance and administration of the Technical Activities Board, including effective management of administrative issues and information to/from volunteers and/or staff of the 48 organizational units represented by the IEEE Societies, Councils and Technical Communities.

The incumbent will be responsible for direct staff management, motivation and supervision of the TAB Board Administration support staff, and will work closely with all appropriate stakeholders to ensure that needed data and analysis is incorporated into planning decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferably in business, management, communications, or a related field
- 7-10 years combined experience in internal and/or organizational administration and management
- 7-10 years experience in executing successful new programs
- 7-10 years experience in analysis for strategic change and management
- Working knowledge of strategic planning processes, tools and frameworks
- Demonstrated success generating, executing and managing multiple projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including writing for the web
- Ability to advise/train others
- Ability to evaluate and recommend business solutions
- Ability to analyze data, pursue solutions and produce meaningful results
- Ability to serve as a strong, credible advocate for Technical Activities
- Ability to serve as a strong, credible advocate for volunteer issues
- Ability to communicate and interact positively and effectively with volunteers, especially members of OU Boards, and their committees
- Ability to work well within a cross-functional team environment with project management experience, and strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills
- Strong ability to prepare and deliver comprehensive presentations to staff, volunteer leadership and external clients
- Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to present effectively to large, cross-functional technical, marketing, and executive-level audiences of staff and volunteer leadership
- Must be a forward and strategic thinker and have an entrepreneurial spirit
- Must demonstrate a sense of responsibility, tactfulness, and discretion required to deal with diversified customers, volunteers and staff
- Exceptional ability to multi-task with great attention to detail
- Must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges; Strong knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications
