This news leader provides direction for special features and reports, assists with broader newsroom editorial needs, and contributes to leading and developing newscast products.
What You Will Do
Supervise news content, programs, and assignments; provide news editing feedback; train new employees; critique staff on audio equipment use; perform performance reviews; provide feedback to senior managers on newsroom best practices; research and fact-check writing; develop and edit stories; handle news reporting and execution.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications
- 3-5 years of journalism and on-air broadcasting experience
- Editing experience
- Previous experience as show producer, editor, specialty beat reporter, or news manager
- Experience editing and as a working journalist in a large metro area
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of writing, broadcasting, editing, voice work, and production
- Familiarity with recording equipment
