Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing mechanical team in Ireland. The successful candidate will lead projects, review mechanical system designs, and support the development of the mechanical engineering team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status with relevant professional accreditations
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in mechanical building services design
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles, standards, and industry codes, including BCO guidance
  • Experience reviewing commissioning processes and overseeing mechanical installations by contractors
  • Understanding of a wide range of mechanical building systems and their applications
  • Familiarity with the full design lifecycle from concept design through to construction administration
  • Good understanding of related engineering disciplines such as electrical, public health, and fire protection
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to technical challenges
