Job Description
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join the Columbia, SC office. Responsibilities include project management, designing HVAC and plumbing systems, and mentoring technical staff.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls
  • Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas
  • Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24
  • Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects
  • Ability to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability
  • Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team
