Role OverviewJoin our Hardware Engineering Team at BAE Systems in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to develop Modernized M-Code GPS Receivers for defense programs. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll lead mechanical engineering designs, development, integration/test, and production of military GPS receivers.
What You Will Do
Typical duties include leading mechanical engineering designs, generating 3D solid models, performing tolerance analyses, and developing prototypes. You'll also partner with other engineering disciplines and operations personnel to develop solutions that adhere to design to unit product cost (DTUPC), design for test (DFT), and design for manufacture (DFM) requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Experience with GD&T principles, tolerance analyses, and thermal, structural/stress, and modal/vibration analyses
- Proficiency in 3D solid modeling and CAD software
- Experience with design for test (DFT), design for manufacture (DFM), and design to unit product cost (DTUPC) requirements
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
