Role Overview

The Senior Microbiologist will lead the starter culture program, collaborating with Operations, QA, Procurement, and R&D to protect IP, optimize fermentation, and ensure strain continuity. This role will oversee clean-room operations, develop rotational strategies, and drive development of back-up strains and continuity plans.

What You Will Do

The Senior Microbiologist will perform molecular characterization, develop verification workflows, create analytical methods, and investigate interactions between culture blends and milk/process conditions. They will also develop starter culture activity assays, model acidification curves, and investigate fermentation behavior.

This role requires a Master's or Ph.D. in Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with 7-12+ years of experience in dairy or industrial microbiology.
