Job Description
CACI is looking for a Senior Space Vehicle Modeling and Simulation Engineer to work with NASA's human-rated spacecraft systems in support of our Nation’s space exploration initiative at NASA / Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. The engineer will develop math models and simulations in support of the Artemis program for NASA space vehicles and planetary surface exploration.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Aerospace or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines with experience in software development, including overall project design, programming, testing, verification, and documentation.
  • 5+ years minimum experience working with simulation, math model development, and real time software applications.
  • 5+ years minimum experience with one or more spacecraft domain including avionics command and data handling, electrical power, environmental control and life support, fluids and thermal, orbital dynamics, robotic dynamics, Guidance, Navigation, and Controls, and mechanical, dynamics and control.
  • 5+ years minimum experience with C/C++ and Python in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with software version control tools such as git.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools and methods
  • Strong computer and software skills in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic.
