Role Overview

As a Senior NPI Engineer, Actuators, you will develop new highly automated manufacturing and pilot lines from concept to production for new and existing products. You will drive development of new/innovative manufacturing processes from proof of concept through to full scale production that enable improved battery performance and/or cost. You will plan and execute DoEs to characterize boundary conditions and optimize process for manufacturability and quality.

What You Will Do

You will own design/manufacturing liaison relationship to optimize product from an automation standpoint prior to release. You will drive equipment and process optimization to increase yield, throughput, and availability while reducing cost and lead-time. You will manage installation, qualification, and ramp of development lines. You will generate machine specifications, standards, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience developing and launching a manufacturing assembly line from concept to production with actuators or drive systems.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing and design of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems, with at least 1 year specifically focused on electric motors or electromechanical actuators.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, specifically NX, for test fixture design, with an understanding of design for manufacturability for various methods (e.g., CNC, 3D printing).
