Role Overview

Peraton is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer, OpenShift & MuleSoft to join our team on the Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Diplomatic Technology (DT) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) program. The role provides day-to-day operational support for mission-critical applications within the CA Applications Support environment. The engineer will deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Red Hat OpenShift and support and maintain MuleSoft APIs and integration services.

What You Will Do

The Senior Platform Engineer will provide day-to-day operational support for the installation, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of mission-critical applications. They will deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Red Hat OpenShift and support and maintain MuleSoft APIs and integration services. The engineer will also develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to streamline system administration and application deployment processes.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on experience with OpenShift, including enterprise-grade cluster administration, and 3+ years of experience working with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and deployment and managing APIs under OpenShift. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active SECRET Government Security Clearance
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with OpenShift
  • 3+ years of experience working with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Extensive experience in Jenkins and understanding CI/CD pipeline design and automation scripting
  • Strong proficiency with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
  • In-depth understanding of OpenShift security practice and tools
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills across the full stack
  • Experience with SQL queries
  • Experience in multiple monitoring tools
  • Proven ability to manage production support in fast-paced, changing environments
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
