Role OverviewJoin the fight against climate change and take advantage of a unique opportunity on the cutting edge of climate policy at the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB). The Department's Bureau of Sustainability is actively developing the policies and regulations needed to advance New York City's climate goals. The Senior Policy Analyst and Project Manager will be instrumental in directing the development, management, communication, and evaluation of policies, processes, and programs that impact building energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
What You Will Do
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting the Bureau with the review and development of policy, implementation, and enforcement strategies; directing and conducting quality control reviews and providing recommendations for operational procedures within the Bureau to align with policy agendas and legislated directives; serving as a subject matter expert sharing technical information effectively to both internal and external stakeholders; performing trainings to improve coordination of systems to optimize efficiency; and developing technical documentation that supports the Department's policy agendas, legislated directives processes and business processes.

Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health
- One year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization
- Three years of responsible full-time research experience in the appropriate field of specialization
