Job Description
The Senior Policy Analyst, Macroeconomics and Public Finance will develop and maintain macroeconomic modeling capabilities for the Center for Data Analysis to analyze the impact of policy shifts on the US economy. This role involves independent research, collaboration, and communication to policymakers, media, and legal hearings. The analyst will analyze tax, Social Security, and healthcare programs, and project national debt evolution.

Requirements

  • Develop, maintain, and document CDA’s macroeconomic modeling capabilities.
  • Incorporate results from CDA’s income tax model into a macroeconomic model.
  • Analyze corporate tax policy and proposals affecting capital.
  • Conduct exploratory modeling of alternative tax schemes.
  • Assess the long-term outlook of the economy and the federal budget.
  • Publish research in Heritage publications and peer-reviewed literature.
  • Present findings in legislative hearings, media appearances, public functions, and professional conferences.
