Role OverviewThe Senior Postgres Database Administrator will support the database operations for our client to strengthen and expand the client’s production environment. This role will ensure the performance, integrity, and security of the unit’s PostgreSQL database.
What You Will Do
Design and implement database architecture, oversee installation and configuration of PostgreSQL databases, conduct performance tuning, develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures, and assist in the design and development of data models and database solutions.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database administration, tuning, management, and security
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with PL/pgSQL or similar procedural language
- Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding
- Previous experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
- Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery options for PostgreSQL
- Good understanding of hardware performance, memory and I/O
- Top Secret Clearance is required
- Ability to pass a background check
