Role OverviewThe Senior Preconstruction Engineer will assist the Preconstruction Manager and Project Manager with preconstruction pursuits, including quantity take-offs, subcontractor solicitation, and scope analysis. The role will primarily be responsible for supporting estimating efforts for large-scale, complex Commercial Construction projects in the Southeast.
What You Will Do
Provide preconstruction administration and technical assistance for one large, complex project or multiple small/medium projects. Work with the Preconstruction team to prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets. Review design documents and complete accurate quantity take-offs. Identify and solicit subcontractors for preconstruction pursuits and ensure adequate subcontractor coverage.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Preconstruction experience and a B.S. in Construction Management or a related engineering discipline. Experience in both hard bid and CM at Risk design-assist estimating efforts is preferred.
