Role Overview

Worley is seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer (Lead) to provide mechanical engineering leadership for the design and delivery of process and utility equipment across oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical, power, and bulk materials projects. The role is accountable for overseeing complex and high-impact engineering assignments, providing technical direction across multiple projects, and ensuring consistent application of engineering standards, best practices, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

What You Will Do

Provide mechanical engineering leadership from concept through commissioning, lead mechanical engineering planning activities, report engineering status to project teams and stakeholders, lead the development of specifications, design calculations, drawings, and technical deliverables, and ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Recognized bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited college or University
  • 15+ years of overall experience on capital projects from feasibility through construction
  • 10+ years of applicable engineering experience, and 7+ years lead role or related experience with engineering design in oil and gas, petrochemical, and chemical industries
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
