Role OverviewThis position is an onsite opportunity within the Abbott Diabetes Care Division in Alameda, California. The Senior Procurement Manager, Strategy & New Product Introduction (NPI) will lead a team of procurement professionals responsible for supporting product development, commercialization, and long-term supply strategies for Abbott Diabetes Care at the manufacturing level.

Manage and develop a team of Procurement professionals supporting Strategy and NPI initiatives. Establish clear performance expectations, objectives, and development plans for direct reports. Drive employee engagement, talent development, succession planning, and high-performance team outcomes.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or related business experience.
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), product development, commercialization, or technology transfer programs.
- Strong strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to evaluate business cases, cost models, investment opportunities, and supply chain tradeoffs.
- Excellent communication, influencing, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage supplier risk, drive performance improvements, and deliver measurable business results.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Experience working with global suppliers and cross-functional teams.
