Senior Product Design Engineer

As a Senior Product Design Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and maturation of complex composite and metallic structures, ducting systems, fluid and thermal control components, acoustic treatments, and both stand alone and integrated heater solutions across diverse applications. You will be accountable for translating customer and system requirements into robust, producible designs, while providing technical direction throughout the full product lifecycle.

What You Will Do

Provide technical leadership for assigned ECS projects, collaborate with engineering leadership, finance, manufacturing engineering, quality, testing, program management, and production support teams, lead the generation of product concepts, detailed designs, tooling concepts, drawings, and parts lists, drive design and analysis activities, guide prototype development, and design and validate tooling and fixtures.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent technical field
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in an engineering design and development environment
• Deep experience designing mechanical components and systems utilizing advanced composites, elastomers, and metallic materials
• Strong working knowledge of aerospace composite and metallic manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability (DFM), and design for assembly (DFA) principles
• Demonstrated ability to independently drive complex technical problems to closure
• Proven track record of knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical leadership within engineering teams
• Advanced proficiency in CAD modeling and detailed drawing creation using SolidWorks and/or CATIA
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to cross-functional and customer audiences
