Role OverviewJoin a diverse team of engineers and specialists to support the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, collaborating with people across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers.
What You Will Do
You'll work with product development teams to understand products during development and testing, maintaining engineering ownership throughout operational life. You'll serve as the global engineering resource for liquid cooling AWS infrastructure in data centers.
Why It Might Be a Fit
You should be detail and data oriented, with experience engineering air handling, piping, and/or pumping products, and have strong engineering judgement to provide recommendations despite uncertainty.
Requirements
- 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
