Role OverviewThe Senior Product Safety Engineer, Renewable Energy is an experienced engineer who provides expertise to evaluate conformance of inverters, battery energy storage systems, and other power generation equipment to industry standards. This role also supports cross training of Product Safety Engineers, Renewable Energy on core testing disciplines.
What You Will Do
Independently conduct evaluations of equipment to determine compliance with applicable standards, plan and coordinate project work, and perform testing of products in accordance with standards.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 5 or more years of experience, or a master's degree in electrical engineering with 4 or more years of experience
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience with utility interactive inverters, battery energy storage systems, EV switchgear, and/or power conversion equipment
- Demonstrated experience with U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards, such as ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC, and IEEE
- Prior experience at another TIC or NRTL laboratory preferred
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record
