Role OverviewReporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for supervising the day-to-day manufacturing operations and performance of employees for a designated value stream. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.

Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Control manpower and materials needed to complete jobs accurately and on time. Guide/monitor group toward its goals, ensuring employee productivity, resolving problems, and having authority to change work roles and work distribution.

As a Supervisor and Leader, you are responsible for day-to-day performance of a group of 6+ employees. You will have genuine input regarding Human Resources matters of significance, such as participating in the selection of new employees, providing meaningful input to performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Requirements
- 5-7 years' progressive experience in a manufacturing environment
- A minimum of 3 years of experience directing an hourly or manufacturing workforce
- Holds a High School diploma or GED; A Bachelor's Degree is a plus
- Possesses intermediate computer skills, including experience using the MS Office suite and a business planning and inventory system
- Has excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Has extensive knowledge and leadership in the principles and practice of Lean, Six Sigma, 5P, and/or other continuous improvement models
