Role Overview

The Senior Programmer Analyst will work with the Information Technology Services (ITS) team to plan and implement technology solutions for the Department of Social Services (DSS). The role involves conducting research, developing advanced technology solutions, and providing solutions throughout the entire lifecycle of IVRS applications. The Senior Programmer Analyst will oversee complex projects, identify and manage IT project risk, and contribute to functional design.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Senior Programmer Analyst will include working with ITS staff to plan program code implementation, conducting research and developing technology solutions, performing complex information technology project work, and providing day-to-day oversight and leadership of software development lifecycles.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication, or a related field
  • Four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology, and/or domain
  • Experience with technologies such as Oracle, SQL, XML, and .NET
  • Experience with project management, risk management, and software development lifecycles
