Role Overview

MWH is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support preconstruction and construction efforts on critical water, wastewater, and advanced water treatment plant projects. The role will provide technical support to project management and project supervision staff, ensuring construction work is performed efficiently and in accordance with company policy and engineering standards.

What You Will Do

The Senior Project Engineer will assist with subcontractor procurement and management, package development, construction layout, material and equipment procurement, submittal review, manpower scheduling, quantity takeoffs, labor productivity reporting, document controls, material purchases, deliveries and inventory, and project controls. They will also perform ongoing quality inspections, prepare and disseminate documentation records, and prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of construction, design, and management experience, with a working knowledge of construction equipment techniques, drawings, and specifications. They will be able to assume responsibility and work within a larger team environment, and have familiarity with Project Management data base systems such as Primavera Contract Manager, Expedition, SharePoint, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of construction, design, and management experience/knowledge
  • Experience on heavy civil or industrial construction projects
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment techniques, drawings, and specifications, building materials, and required standards applicable to discipline
  • Ability to assume responsibility and work within a larger team environment
  • Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others
  • Familiarity with Project Management data base systems such as Primavera Contract Manager, Expedition, SharePoint, etc.
