Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Building Automation / HVAC Controls to lead commercial and industrial building automation projects from preconstruction and planning through installation, commissioning, and final closeout. This position is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, procurement, field coordination, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring successful delivery of complex BAS, DDC, and HVAC controls projects.

What You Will Do

Manage multiple building automation and HVAC controls projects from initial planning through commissioning and closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, labor forecasts, procurement plans, and project execution strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or a closely related industry
  • Strong experience managing BAS, DDC, HVAC controls, or energy management system projects
  • Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, control systems, low-voltage applications, and building automation architecture
  • Ability to read and interpret control drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, specifications, and construction documents
  • Experience managing projects from planning through installation, startup, commissioning, and final turnover
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, change orders, and cost control
  • Experience coordinating controls technicians, programmers, subcontractors, vendors, and other project personnel
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to understand controls, communications, wiring, and HVAC-related issues
  • Excellent leadership, communication, client management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant construction or project management software
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to regional project sites as required
