Job Description
The Senior Project Manager will lead strategic initiatives to strengthen and expand the child care system across New York City, overseeing cross-agency projects, guiding long-term strategic planning, and managing the implementation of citywide programs focused on child care access, workforce development, and system infrastructure.
Requirements
Lead policy research, data analysis, and strategic planning to inform citywide early childhood initiatives.
Develop policy proposals, strategic frameworks, and implementation plans aligned with mayoral priorities.
Plan and manage large-scale initiatives, including project plans, timelines, performance metrics, and implementation strategies for child care access, workforce development, and system infrastructure.
Monitor progress, identify implementation challenges, and recommend policy or operational solutions.
Coordinate cross-agency initiatives with NYC Department of Education, Administration for Children’s Services, Department of Health, and other key city agency stakeholders.
Facilitate collaboration among government agencies, child care providers, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders.
Use data and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and prepare memos, briefings, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.
Manage external relationships, including with partner organizations, vendors, and child care sector stakeholders
May supervise project staff, interns, or analysts, supporting team coordination and project execution.
