Job Description
The Senior Project Manager will lead strategic initiatives to strengthen and expand the child care system across New York City, overseeing cross-agency projects, guiding long-term strategic planning, and managing the implementation of citywide programs focused on child care access, workforce development, and system infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Lead policy research, data analysis, and strategic planning to inform citywide early childhood initiatives.
  • Develop policy proposals, strategic frameworks, and implementation plans aligned with mayoral priorities.
  • Plan and manage large-scale initiatives, including project plans, timelines, performance metrics, and implementation strategies for child care access, workforce development, and system infrastructure.
  • Monitor progress, identify implementation challenges, and recommend policy or operational solutions.
  • Coordinate cross-agency initiatives with NYC Department of Education, Administration for Children’s Services, Department of Health, and other key city agency stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration among government agencies, child care providers, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Use data and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and prepare memos, briefings, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Manage external relationships, including with partner organizations, vendors, and child care sector stakeholders
  • May supervise project staff, interns, or analysts, supporting team coordination and project execution.
