Job Description
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex internal information system (IS) projects from initiation through successful delivery in a health systems environment.
Requirements
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
Conduct feasibility studies, needs assessments, and impact analyses to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategy
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies
Coordinate work across IT teams, business units, and external vendors to ensure effective collaboration and execution
Oversee project execution, including scheduling, resource management, change control, quality assurance, testing, documentation, and end-user training
Track and report project progress, issues, and risks to leadership, recommending corrective actions as needed
Ensure compliance with internal governance, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
Lead post-project evaluations and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement
Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for complex IT projects across the organization
Foster collaboration between technical teams, business units, and external partners to achieve strategic objectives
Mentor junior project managers, business analysts, and team members, promoting best practices in project management and IT delivery
Contribute to the development and refinement of PMO standards, templates, and tools to improve project execution and reporting
Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and results-oriented delivery within the IT organization
