Role OverviewThe selected candidate will manage complex capital commitment projects, review proposed projects, and work with Sponsor Agencies to ensure an understanding of each project's scope and vision. The candidate will oversee each project from conception to construction completion and close-out of the finished structure.
What You Will Do
Generate cost estimates, develop deliverable dates, supervise and coordinate project staff, resolve construction or design issues, negotiate with contractors and vendors, process and review change orders and project estimates, and ensure all safety precautions are adhered to.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The selected candidate will have 5 years of full-time satisfactory experience in the planning, administering, or expediting of engineering design and/or construction, or coordinating a very large engineering project, with 2 years in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity.
Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration, or public administration
- 5 years of full-time satisfactory experience in the planning, administering, or expediting of engineering design and/or construction, or coordinating a very large engineering project
- 2 years of experience in an administrative, managerial, executive, or supervisory capacity
