Role OverviewThe Senior Project Manager will support a new Rapid Bus Network Development subunit, tasked with developing new and improved rapid bus service in conjunction with MTA. The candidate will work to develop infrastructure-intensive bus projects that dramatically reshape the built environment to bring quality transit service to all New Yorkers. This is an opportunity to work in a high-profile, fast-paced public sector environment with a team dedicated to improving safety, accessibility, and mobility throughout New York City.
What You Will Do
The candidate will conduct extensive community-centered public outreach, pursue and manage grants to finance projects, navigate environmental review, track project development, work with bus priority and planning & policy subunits to develop conceptual designs, work with MTA on bus operations, and initiate capital projects.

Requirements
- baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- two years of satisfactory full-time experience in city planning
- demonstrated expertise in delivering bus lanes, busways, and other transit supportive street treatments
