Role Overview

Apply established engineering methods and best practices to develop studies, detailed designs, and protection system settings that support the construction, operation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure. Shape project scopes, produce high-quality engineering documentation, and provide technical guidance and peer review to fellow engineers.

What You Will Do

Develop Protection system schematic designs, conduct Short circuit and symmetrical component analysis, perform protection system coordination studies, develop Relay settings and protection system automation logic, conduct arc flash analysis, manage Integration with SCADA systems, and provide peer review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology from an ABET-accredited university
  • A minimum of five years directly applicable engineering experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of principles in area of engineering specialty
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Understanding of company’s business, and relevant policies, procedures, and practices
  • Knowledge and application of engineering principles in the area of substations design, power system protection and/or power system analysis
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
