Role Overview

D-Wave is seeking an experienced QEC Software Engineer to co-design, validate, and test infrastructure for QEC. The selected candidate will collaborate with physicists and other QEC specialists, implement robust software components, and work with stakeholders on quantum computing applications.

Collaborate with physicists and other QEC specialists, implement robust software components, integrate them into D-Wave’s software stack, and write comprehensive tests.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a specialization in quantum computing
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with C, C++, Python, or another general-purpose compiled programming language
  • 3+ Quantum computing or quantum information experience including at least one modern quantum SDK such as Qiskit, Q#, CUDA-Q, or Stim
  • Competence with Git version control, build tools, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Use of software testing principles and practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts
