Role OverviewAs a Senior Rail Engineer at HDR, you will be responsible for managing client and design-team projects, coordinating planning and environmental processes, and serving as a technical expert in railway engineering. You will lead a team of professionals and technicians, and serve as a high-level point of contact between the client and HDR.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing complex multidisciplinary railway projects, planning and organizing work, and supervising staff. You will also serve as a project manager on larger projects and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years experience in railway engineering and managing complex multidisciplinary railway projects
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
- Proficient with MicroStation, OpenRail Designer/OpenRoads Designer, and/or AutoCAD and Civil3D
- Skilled in technical writing, communicating and presenting to clients and the public
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team on railway projects
- Computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)
