Role OverviewJoin our experimental biology team to build and operate a high-throughput experimental platform at the heart of Polytope Bio. Design and execute experiments focused on high-throughput cloning and strain engineering, develop and optimize workflows for DNA assembly, library construction, and screening assays, analyze experimental data, and work closely with computational researchers to translate biological measurements into high-quality datasets.

Design and execute experiments, develop and optimize assays, own research projects, analyze and interpret data, build experimental infrastructure, and maintain laboratory equipment and workflows.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or a related field
- significant hands-on research experience, including at least 3 years of industry experience
- hands-on experience engineering yeast or other microbes, including strain construction, genetic engineering, and characterization of strains
- strong hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, including primer design, Golden Gate cloning, DNA assembly, plasmid construction, and library generation
- ability to take an experimental question from a loosely defined objective through experimental design, execution, analysis, and iteration
- resourcefulness and persistence when experiments do not work as expected
- ability to work effectively with both experimental biologists and computational/AI researchers and communicate scientific results clearly
