Role Overview

The Senior Right of Way Agent will assist in establishing proposed routes for pipeline projects, estimate right of way costs, and develop landowner line lists. They will also obtain permission to survey from landowners and tenants, prepare and file permit applications, and evaluate right of way requirements. The Senior Right of Way Agent will negotiate with management and right of way owners, draft related documents, and resolve right of way encroachment issues.

The Senior Right of Way Agent will perform duties such as developing landowner line lists, obtaining permission to survey, preparing permit applications, evaluating right of way requirements, negotiating with management and right of way owners, and drafting related documents.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related technical field and a minimum of five years' experience working with right of way/land services programs. They will also have strong knowledge of right of way agreements, leases, licenses, and other legal contracts, as well as strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related technical field
  • Minimum of five years' experience working with right of way/land services programs
  • Law degree or master's degree in business administration is preferred
  • Ability to actively engage in safe behavior and understand and follow the principles and methods related to pipeline and workplace safety
  • Knowledge of emergency and safety procedures, policies, procedures, equipment operating parameters, and all applicable DOT, EPA, FERC, DHS, and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to utilize computer hardware and word processing and GIS software to research, manage, record, and evaluate company information
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills to represent the company before government agencies, industry groups, and landowners
  • Well-developed written communication skills to draft contracts, agreements, leases, licenses, and other right of way documents
  • Strong knowledge of right of way agreements, leases, licenses, and other legal contracts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills for highly complex issues
  • Well-developed leadership skills to advance and promote the Company's right of way program
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to represent the Company to governmental agencies and other external parties
