Role OverviewThe Senior Robotics Design Engineer: Government Projects will own robotic manufacturing cell design end-to-end, collaborating with software and mechatronics teams to optimize for reachability, cycle time, and efficiency. The role will design and iterate six-axis industrial robot hardware, including robot transporter mechanisms, motion systems, and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT). The engineer will perform structural analysis and simulation to validate design integrity before deployment and prototype hardware with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in mind.
What You Will Do
Design and iterate six-axis industrial robot hardware, including robot transporter mechanisms, motion systems, and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT). Perform structural analysis and simulation to validate design integrity before deployment. Prototype hardware with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in mind.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of robotic system design and integration experience, with six-axis industrial robots as the primary platform. They will have experience designing 6DOF robot automation systems, including reach and layout studies and end-of-arm tool design. The candidate will be able to solve technical problems effectively, efficiently, and independently and have effective communication skills and strong interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
