Senior SDET Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior SDET Engineer to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. The successful candidate will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for web applications, APIs, databases, and distributed systems. They will lead end-to-end test management activities, including test planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking, reporting, and release validation. The candidate will also develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java, Spring Boot, RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will design automation solutions for functional, integration, regression, API, UI, and end-to-end testing to improve test coverage and release quality. They will collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The candidate will also participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives using Jira.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool, as well as 5+ years of experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack. They will have strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or DB2 or Postgres and experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc. The candidate will also have strong experience in Test automation design, development, and execution using frameworks like RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool
• 5+ years of experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Test Management lifecycle
• 6+ years of strong working knowledge of Relational Databases like Oracle or DB2 or Postgres and experience with PL/SQL and complex queries, views, packages etc.
• 6+ years of strong experience in Test automation design, development, and execution using frameworks like RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG
• 6+ years of strong proven experience in programming - Java/Spring boot
• Strong SQL skills are required
• Knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript is an added advantage
• 5+ years of strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment – GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with Azure/AWS cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD experience
