Senior SDET Engineer

We are seeking a Senior SDET Engineer to join our team in Irving, Texas. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing. They will work as part of an Agile/Scrum team, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. The role requires a strong understanding of test automation and quality engineering principles.

What You Will Do

The Senior SDET Engineer will perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and system testing. They will develop automated test scripts using Java/Python and integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines. The role also involves collaborating with developers to debug issues and improve testability, and providing clear test metrics, reports, and quality insights to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in test automation/SDET roles
• Strong programming skills in Java or Python
• Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Strong API automation experience using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools
• Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Working knowledge of SQL and database testing
• Experience testing microservices and distributed systems
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with Docker and containers (Kubernetes is a plus)
• Understanding of performance and security testing basics (JMeter, OWASP concepts)
