Role OverviewThe Deputy Director, Borough Office (Queens) is responsible for the direction, coordination, and administration of all daily activities of the Undercare, Assessment, Eviction, and Preventive Service Units. The Deputy Director is responsible for the professional review, evaluation, and management of all cases accepted for service.
What You Will Do
The Deputy Director will be responsible for the direction and supervision of social service professional and clerical staff members, ensuring continued eligibility for APS services is verified within specified time frames, and the update of service plans. The Deputy Director will also provide direction, administration, and control of the Assessment processes, monitor and review the formulation of all case plans, and ensure emergency services are implemented to stabilize clients.

The ideal candidate will have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of progressively responsible experience, including one year at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency, business firm, civic, or community organization operating in the area of social services.
