Role Overview

The Senior-Level Software Engineer is responsible for applying engineering principles and knowledge of programming languages to build software solutions for NSG/ASG end users. This role involves designing and maintaining software systems, evaluating and integrating new software programs, and optimizing software for speed and scalability. The Senior-Level Software Engineer will work in concert with government accreditation specialists to ensure that security-related features are tested early in the development process. Additionally, this role participates in Agile ceremonies and supports the creation, maintenance, quality, and timely delivery of all Contract Deliverables.

What You Will Do

The Senior-Level Software Engineer will design and maintain software systems, evaluate and integrate new software programs, optimize software for speed and scalability, write and test code, consult with clients and stakeholders, present new features, assist in the development of test plans, verify and validate test results, write scripts and code to automate and record test results, and participate in Agile ceremonies.

  • NGA experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), CORE, and NGA Cloud environments
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Experience with traditional Agile and DevOps development practices
  • Experience in architecting, implementing, and managing information technology systems
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days
  • Ability to obtain an adjudicated Polygraph within 30 days
